Welcome to my first blog, created for Foundations of Information Technology (LIBR500) as part of the MLIS programme, School of Library, Archival and Information Studies at the University of British Columbia.

This is a blog about library blogs. I selected six libraries–five public libraries and one university library–to explore and evaluate, and in the process, I hope to answer the question: are library blogs useful? Or, are most library blogs basically boring and ultimately useless? Or, could they be boring but useful?
